  Besides Everlasting Life What Do Jehovah’s Witnesses Offer To Anyone?

  i have been thinking... why would anyone want to join the religion or actually stay in the organization.

  i understand that people don’t want to lose their loving family and dear friends so some stay in.

  but what does anyone really ever get because they are jehovah’s witnesses??.

  And the good news is after 1,000 years Satan is let go so that people can start all over and once again to prove they are loyal to the borg. I wonder for how many decades during this time will there be disloyal JDubs wrecking havoc and causing doubts until they and Satan are destroyed after the 1,000 years.

  I can't even imagine being under the control of the Prince elders during that time being told what to do, where to live, and what my job will be. Not everyone can where nice clothes while romping thru the woods having baskets full of fruit and veggies laying around.

  Who is going to pick up all of the elephant, lion, horse shit that will be ever where? Who is going to work in the steel mills to make all of the farming equipment. I can tell you who won't. The elders and me.

  They are Still preaching against careers!

  i saw on another forum a post somebody made about the melbourne assembly.

  it seems the religion is still knocking full time jobs/careers and saving for retirement.. you would think at this point in time - after thousands of bethelites were sent home; many thousands of rank & file jws are at or near retirement age with no preparation - that the religion would change its tune, but no.

  they are still stubbornly sticking to their guns on this issue.. i’m sorry for any young jws who listen to this.. i’m just glad i never followed their advice and certainly would not want to be in any congregation surrounded by these desperate people!.

  i really like calling myself a watchtower survivor.

  it is not demeaning to other people and is not a negative statement.

  when a jdub sees that term it may make them think about why i would call myself a survivor.

  When I was an elder I always cleaned the toilet to show how humble I was. I did not stumble and I did not bumble for you see I was so humble. Most elders cracked the whip over the sisters to keep the pace of sweeping and dusting up. Oh the good memories of being a slave of the Watchtower.

  Being a JW kid in school was terrible. Being laughed at, mocked, and picked on for what reason? To make Jehovah happy and not sad? What a load of crap as if we can effect the emotions of the creator. I survived that but not without emotional scars and terrible memories.

  I really like calling myself a Watchtower survivor. It is not demeaning to other people and is not a negative statement. When a JDub sees that term it may make them think about why I would call myself a survivor. I like the term more than being an Ex-Jdub which doesn't denote anything. Being a survivor denotes that there were problems but I over came them.

  The "figurative" heart

  about 25 years ago i gave a talk about how when the bible talks about the heart that it is the literal heart and how the heart and the brain are connected by nerve tissue.

  the watchtower even stated that some people who received a heart transplant would take on some of the personality of the donor.then all of a sudden the borg changed and said that when the bible refers to the heart that it is figurative.

  then when ever the watchtower referred to the heart it always put the word figurative in front of it.. does anyone know why there was a change in the use of the word heart?

  I just don't understand why the Borg always has to put figurative in front of heart everytime heart is mentioned. The Bible doesnt do that. It is like they make some big deal over it.

  Does anyone know why there was a change in the use of the word heart? When the Bible says to love god with your whole heart, mind, and soul, it is your real mind and real soul but only a figurative heart? There had to be something that caused this change. I always wondered what would have caused this understanding.
